Loaded Smashburger Rice Bowl
All the flavours of a classic smashburger served over fluffy rice, loaded with cheesy beef, fresh toppings, and a rich burger sauce.
Ingredients
For the Smashburger Beef
- 500 g beef mince (20%% fat ideal)
- Salt and black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 100 g cheddar cheese, grated or sliced
For the Rice
- 250 g basmati rice
- 500 ml water
- Pinch of salt
Burger Bowl Toppings
- 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
- 2โ3 gherkins, chopped
- 1 small red onion, finely diced
- Cherry tomatoes, halved
Burger Sauce
- 4 tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp finely chopped gherkins
- ยฝ tsp smoked paprika

Prepare the Rice
Cook the Rice

Rinse the rice until the water runs clear.

Add rice, water, and salt to a saucepan.

Bring to the boil, cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 10โ12 minutes.

Remove from heat and rest covered for 5 minutes, then fluff.
