A bold and satisfying bowl inspired by Korean BBQ flavours, with sweet, savoury, and spicy beef piled high over fluffy rice. Fast, comforting, and full of punch.



 

Ingredients

For the Beef

  • 500 g beef strips (sirloin or flank)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

For the Marinade

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp gochujang
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, grated
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger

To Serve

  • Steamed jasmine rice
  • Spring onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds

Pairings

  • Kimchi
  • Pickled cucumber

Marinate the Beef

    Leave to marinate for at least 10 minutes while preparing the rice.

Cook the Beef
