Ingredients

For the Burgers

  • 500g beef mince (15โ€“20% fat)
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic granules

For the Chips

  • 1kg potatoes (Maris Piper or King Edward)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp paprika (optional)

To Serve (Optional)

  • Burger buns
  • Cheese slices
  • Lettuce, tomato, red onion
  • Ketchup, mayo, or burger sauce

Prepare the Chips

    Preheat the oven to 220ยฐC (200ยฐC fan).

    Peel (optional) and cut the potatoes into thick chips.

  3. Step 3

    Rinse under cold water, then pat completely dry.

  4. Step 4

    Toss with olive oil, salt, and paprika if using.

  5. Step 5

    Spread evenly on a baking tray and bake for 30โ€“35 minutes, turning halfway, until golden and crispy.
