A juicy beef burger topped with crispy mini sausages wrapped in bacon, melted cheese, and classic fixings, served with crispy smoky sweet potato fries.



 

Ingredients

For the Burgers

  • 500g pork mince (or pork & beef mix)
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried sage
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ยฝ tsp black pepper
  • 4 brioche burger buns, toasted

For the Pigs in Blankets

  • 8 chipolata sausages
  • 8 rashers streaky bacon

Toppings

  • 4 slices cheddar or brie
  • Cranberry sauce (or onion chutney)
  • Rocket or lettuce leaves

For the Crispy Sweet Potato Fries

  • 800g sweet potatoes, cut into fries
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp cornflour (for crispiness)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ยฝ tsp garlic powder
  • ยฝ tsp salt
  • ยฝ tsp black pepper

Make the Fries

    Preheat oven to 220ยฐC (200ยฐC fan).

    Toss sweet potato fries in cornflour, then coat with oil, paprika, garlic, salt, and pepper.

  3. Step 3

    Spread on a lined tray and bake 25โ€“30 minutes, flipping once, until crisp.

Cook the Pigs in Blankets

    Wrap each sausage in a rasher of bacon.

    Bake on a tray at 200ยฐC for 20โ€“25 minutes until golden and cooked through.

Prepare the Burgers

    Shape into 4 patties.

    Fry, grill, or BBQ for 4โ€“5 minutes per side until cooked through.
