Juicy beef patties infused with bold spices, topped with fiery sauces for an extra kick.



 

Ingredients

For the Burgers

  • 500g beef mince (or mix beef & pork for juiciness)
  • 1 red chili, finely chopped (or 1 tsp chili flakes)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce (e.g., sriracha or peri-peri)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 4 burger buns, toasted

Toppings

  • 4 cheese slices (Monterey Jack, cheddar, or pepper jack)
  • 1 jalapeño, sliced
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Red onion rings
  • Extra hot sauce or spicy mayo

For the Chips (Optional Side)

  • 800g potatoes, cut into wedges
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt, to taste

Make the Burgers

    In a bowl, mix beef mince with chili, garlic, onion, paprika, cumin, hot sauce, salt, and pepper.

    Form into 4 patties (don’t overwork the meat).

Cook the Burgers

    Heat a griddle pan, frying pan, or BBQ.

  2. Step 4

    Cook patties for 3–4 minutes per side, adding cheese slices in the last minute to melt.

Optional Spicy Chips

    Toss potato wedges with oil, paprika, cayenne, and salt.

    Roast at 200°C (180°C fan) for 25–30 minutes until crisp.

Additional Notes
