A hearty plate loaded with sizzling sausages, crispy bacon, fried eggs, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, baked beans, and toast โ the classic British breakfast that never disappoints.
Ingredients
- 4 pork sausages
- 4 rashers back bacon
- 200g baked beans
- 2 eggs
- 150g button mushrooms, halved
- 2 tomatoes, halved
- 2 slices black pudding (optional)
- 2 slices bread (for toast or fried bread)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil or butter
- Salt & black pepper, to taste

- Hash browns
- Bubble & squeak
- A mug of builderโs tea

Start the Sausages & Bacon

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large frying pan.

Cook sausages on medium heat for 12โ15 minutes, turning often.

Add bacon rashers to the pan for the last 5โ6 minutes, until crisp.
Cook the Mushrooms & Tomatoes

In a second pan, heat 1 tsp oil or butter.

Sautรฉ mushrooms for 5 minutes until golden.

Place tomato halves cut-side down in the same pan, cook for 3โ4 minutes.
