Lamb Koftas with Cucumber Yogurt Dip & Flatbreads

Juicy spiced lamb koftas served with a cool cucumber yogurt dip and warm flatbreads. A Middle Easternโ€“inspired favourite thatโ€™s packed with flavour and perfect for sharing.



 

Ingredients

For the Lamb Koftas

  • 500g lamb mince
  • 1 small onion, finely grated
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes (optional)
  • 1 handful fresh parsley or mint, finely chopped
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

For the Cucumber Yogurt Dip

  • 200g Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber, grated and squeezed dry
  • 1 garlic clove, finely grated
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Salt, to taste

To Serve

  • Flatbreads or pittas
  • Olive oil
  • Extra herbs or salad (optional)

Make the Kofta Mixture

    Combine the lamb mince, grated onion, garlic, spices, herbs, salt, and pepper in a bowl.

    Mix well using your hands until fully combined.

Shape the Koftas

    Divide the mixture into even portions and shape into sausage-like koftas around skewers or by hand.

Cook the Koftas

    Heat a griddle pan or frying pan over medium-high heat with a little oil.

    Cook the koftas for 10โ€“12 minutes, turning regularly, until browned and cooked through.

Prepare the Dip
