Juicy burgers seasoned with fresh herbs, served with crispy golden chips for a flavorful twist on a classic.



 

Ingredients

For the Burgers

  • 500g beef mince (or lamb mince for a richer flavour)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh mint, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ยฝ tsp black pepper
  • 4 burger buns, toasted

Toppings

  • 4 slices halloumi or cheddar (optional)
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Red onion rings
  • Yogurt-mint sauce or mayo

For the Chips

  • 800g potatoes, cut into chips
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • ยฝ tsp salt
  • ยฝ tsp black pepper

Prepare the Chips

    Preheat oven to 220ยฐC (200ยฐC fan).

    Toss potato chips with olive oil, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.

  3. Step 3

    Spread on a tray and bake 25โ€“30 minutes until golden and crisp.

    In a bowl, combine beef mince with parsley, coriander, mint, garlic, onion, mustard, salt, and pepper.

    Form into 4 patties.

Cook the Burgers

    Heat a frying pan, griddle, or BBQ.

    Cook patties 3โ€“4 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

    Add cheese slices in the last minute if using.

Additional Notes

Serve

  • Plate with the herby chips on the side.
