Sticky Garlic Chicken Noodles

Sweet, savoury, and sticky noodles coated in a rich garlic sauce with tender chicken. A fast, comforting midweek dinner with big flavour and minimal effort.



 

Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 450g chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

For the Noodles

  • 300g egg noodles

For the Sticky Garlic Sauce

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • 2 tbsp water

To Finish

  • 4 spring onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds (optional)

Prepare the Sauce

    In a small bowl, mix cornflour and water to form a slurry.

    Add soy sauce, honey, hoisin, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.

    Whisk until smooth and set aside.

Cook the Noodles

    Cook egg noodles according to packet instructions.

    Drain and set aside.

Cook the Chicken

    Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan or wok over medium-high heat.

    Add chicken and stir-fry for 4โ€“6 minutes until cooked through and lightly golden.

Add the Sauce

    Pour the sauce into the pan with the chicken.

    Cook for 1โ€“2 minutes, stirring, until thick and glossy.

Combine
