Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 300g raw king prawns, peeled & deveined
  • 300g pasta (penne or linguine work best)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 25g butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 200ml double cream
  • 50g grated parmesan
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • Juice of ยฝ lemon
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

Optional Extras

  • ยฝ tsp chilli flakes
  • 1 small red pepper, sliced
  • 1 tbsp tomato purรฉe

Cook the Pasta

    Boil pasta in well-salted water until al dente

  2. Step 2

    Reserve a mug of pasta water, then drain

Season & Sear the Shrimp

    Toss prawns with Cajun seasoning and smoked paprika

    Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat

  3. Step 5

    Cook prawns 1โ€“2 minutes per side until pink, then remove

Build the Sauce

    Lower heat and melt butter in the same pan

    Add garlic (and chilli flakes if using) and cook 30 seconds

    Stir in tomato purรฉe if using, then pour in cream
